Spring Break

St. George Utah!
Awesome in the spring...not so much in the summer, way too hot!  My good friend from H.S. and  I have an open house policy...she is always welcome to stay at my home when she comes up north, and we are welcome at her home in St. George any time.  They are fantastic people and a huge part of our St. George fun!
Here is where the rest of the fun was:
We hiked this huge, rocky hill.  It may not look like much, but we were tired by the time we reached the top.

Somehow we missed the trail head (which turned out to be a small cairn) and so we just scaled up the face of the mountain, forging our own trail.  At times it was so steep, when I looked back I was terrified!  I tried to push through it until I realized I really was scared (heights kill me) and tears were starting to pool in my eyes.  Karl looked back at me and said, "how are you doing?"  up until this point, my answer had been,
 "I'm fine."
But this time I was NOT HAPPY!
I answered, "I am NOT OK!"  I can't believe you brought me on this hike, you know how afraid of heights I am!
I am NOT HAVING FUN!"
I saw this husband panic cross over his face..He knew I was no longer rational, and he could be in deep trouble if he didn't act quickly.  He speedily came down to where I was, took my hand and stayed by me the rest of the way.
I had to apologize.

On the top of the ridge was this huge cement arrow, used to guide planes towards SLC before there was electricity.

Connor got a nose bleed...kind of funny. ;)

They just like to freak me out.

After the hike, we got a slushie at Sonic and found this awesome park!

The boys played on the longboard...

then we all soaked our feet in the water.

We always love to play in Pioneer Park up on Dixie mountain.

The only downside of our trip, was that Parker has a different Spring Break, and was in school...and Alyssa was at college.
